Adam L. Smith
Adam L. Smith, 86, west High Street, Nazareth R. D. 2, died
last night in Easton Hospital where he was admitted May 8.
He was in ill health a year.
Born Dec. 18, 1880, in Saylorsburg, a son of the late William
and Amanda Gruver smith, he resided in Nazareth R.D. 2 40 years.
His wife, the former Birdie C. Faulstick, died Sept 15, 1598.
Mr. Smith was a self-employed mason, retiring in 1957.
He was of the Lutheran faith and a 50-year member of Aluta
Lodge, IOOF, and a member of Washington Camp 445, POS of A,
Nazareth, and Local 37 Bricklayers, Mason and Plasterers Union.
Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Mary A. Gold, and a son
Albert E., both of Nazareth R.D. 2; two grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren. A son Clarence E., died in 1966.
The funeral will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Schmidt
Mortuary, Nazareth. |
