J. Edward Shimer Dies in California
J.Edward Shimer, a former resident of Stockertown, where he conducted a general store for many years, died on September 13 at Long Beach, Cal., where he moved 20 years ago. He was 79 years of age. His wife died six months ago. Mr. Shimer was born in Forks Township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Shimer. He is survived by several cousins residing in the East. The funeral was held at Long Beach, with interment at that place.
