Richard S. Sherry, 65, of 414 Hickory St., Bethlehem, died Monday in Muhlenberg Hospital Center. He was the husband of Jeanne G. (Gross) Sherry, who died in 1983.

Sherry was an accountant for the Bethlehem Housing Authority.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of Kenneth Sherry of Bethlehem and the late Gertrude (Anwalt) Sherry.

A Navy veteran of World War II, Sherry was a founder of the American Legion Band, Bethlehem. He currently was the post's finance officer and served as post commander in 1976.

Survivors: Father; daughter, sons, and three grandchildren.

Memorial services: 3 p.m. Thursday, Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St. Bethlehem. No calling hours.
