Vernon Case Rhymer, 65, of Kunkletown, Pa., formerly of Wilson
Borough, died Monday, June 21, 2004, in Palmerton Hospital.
Born: September 8, 1938, in Wilson Borough, a son of the late
Harold and Ethel Case Rhymer.
Personal: He retired from Maier's Bakery, Palmer Township,
where he was employed for 33 years.
Vernon served in the Air Force.
He was a 1956 graduate of Wilson High School.
He was an avid Penn State fan.
Memberships: He was a former member of Good Shepherd Lutheran
Church, Wilson Borough.
He was a member of the Baker, Confectionary & Tobacco
Workers Union, where he was a past president of its local union.
Survivors: a son, Scott C. and his wife, Deborah, of Albuquerque,
N.M.; a daughter, Sheena A. Krock and her husband, Joseph,
of Jonas, Pa.; a sister, Barbara Shimer of Wilson Borough;
and a grandson, Aidan W. Krock.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc.,
2101 Northampton St., Wilson Borough. Call 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday
in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial
Shrine. |
