Well Known Engineer Dead
Franklin B. Raub was Former Resident of Phillispburg
Franklin B. Raub, a former Well known resident of Phillipsburg, and who for a number of years was employed as a locomotive engineer by the Pennsylvania Railroad Company, his home being 209 Grove Street, East Stroudsburg, died yesterday in the Portland, Pa., Hosptial. He was 63 years old in September last.

Mr. Raub was born on Fayette street, this town, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Raub, and seven years ago he moved to East Stroudsburg. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Francis Crown, of Newton, N.J., and abrother and a sister, Floyd Raub, of Washington, N.J. and Mrs. Harry Knauss, of Morris Park.

Deceased was taken ill just before Christmas and for a time received treatment in the Stroudsburg Hospital. Recently he was taken to the Portland Hospital, and death came just as the train on which Mr. Raub had been employed approached the Portland station.

Four years ago last November the train of which Mr. Raub was engineer was derailed in the vicinity of Lambertville. For a time Mr. Raub believed his fireman to have been caught in the wreckage and he spent much time conducting a search for him. Both enginemen, however escapted, but from that time Mr. raub was not in the best of health.

He was a ember of the Stroudsburg Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg Lodge, B. P. O. Elks; B. of L. F. & E., the Pennsylvania Railroad Relief Association, Phillipsburg Aerie of Eagles, Jersey Hose Company and Malaska Council, Jr. O. U. A. M.

Funeral services will be conducted at his late home Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. There will be a later service in the Lutheran church, Stroudsburg, and interment wll be made in the Easton Cemetery.
