Anderson C. Raub
Anderson Calvin Raub, 59, died at 1 o'clock this morning at the family residence
in Seipsville, Palmer Township. For many years he had been a suffered from asthma,
and complications which followed resulted in his death.
Mr. Raub was born in Raubsville on March 15, 1876 and was
a son of the late William and Emma Steckel Raub. He spent his
entire life in Green's Bridge, N.J. and in Easton. For 23 years
he was employed at the plant of the Vulcanite Portland Cement
Company and for the past 18 years he had been engaged in farming.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Catharine Piatt Raub and
by three sons, Philip C, Carl P and John H. Raub, all of Easton
and four daughters, Mrs. Thomas Hulsizer, Easton; Mrs. Albert
Bird and Mrs. Richard Heffelfinger, of Phillipsburg, and Verna
May Raub, at home. He also leaves on sister, Mrs. William Piatt,
Phillipsburg; a half-sister, Mrs. Oscar Smith, Phillipsburg
and a half-brother Howard Zellner of Phillipsburg.
He was a member of St. James Lutheran (Straw) Church and of
Montana Lodge, No. 23, Knights of Pythias, Phillipsburg.
