Charles H. Rasley
Charles H. Rasley, 82, died yesterday at the home of Mr.and
Mrs. Edwin J. Hahn, of 323 E. Nulnut St., Nazareth.
Mr. Rasley had been a resident of Nazareth for the last 50
years. He had resided at the Hahn residence since the death
of his wife, the former Stella Smith, in 1950.
Born in Flicksville, he was a son of the late Hiram and Elizabeth
Gruver Rasley. A laborer, he had been employed by the Borough
of Nazareth for 18 years before his retirement five years ago.
He formerly worked for various contractors, including the late
Milton E. Stuber, of Nazareth.
Mr. Rasley was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed
Church, Nazareth; Tatamy Lodge Knights of Malta; Nazareth Chapter,
Knights of Friendship, and the Brotherhood of Carpenters and
Joiners of America, Bethlehem.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Martha Williamson, of Martins
Creek. There also are several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the F.W. Schmidt
Mortuary, Nazareth
