Lester E. "Pete" Pfeffer, 72, of 310 Bates St., Phillipsburg, died Saturday in Warren Hospital.

He was treasurer for the Ridgeway and Pfeffer Chevrolet dealership, Phillipsburg until 1965.

Born in Easton, he was a son of the late John A. and Edith W. (Seibert) Pfeffer.

He was a member of First Evangelical Congregational Church, Easton, where he sang in the choir.

He was a past president of the Jersey Jents Barbershop Chorus and its Saints-N-Sinners quartet, Phillipsburg.

He was vice president of the Interstate Blind Friends of Phillipsburg; past president of the Lehigh Valley Federation of the Blind, and a member of the Lehigh Valley Blind Bowling Association.

Survivors: Daughters, ***** of Palmer Township and ***** of Totowa, N.J.; brother, Kenneth W. of Phillipsburg; sister, *****of Quarryville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and Northampton streets, Easton.
