Josiah Moser

Josiah Moser, of Folk and Reese Streets, a well-known retired farmer of Williams Township and veteran of the Civil War, died at 2:45 o'clock Sunday morning in the Easton Hospital, of pneumonia, following a week's illness. Mr. Moser was a native of Williams Township and in the early stages of the Civil War enlisted with the Union forces serving more than three years. After being wounded in the eyes he became blind and was in a hospital for six months before recovering his sight. Returning from the war he again took up farming and followed that occupation until about ten years ago when he returned. Three years ago he moved into the city, and two months ago his wife died.

His is survived by six children: William, Harry and Frank Moser, Mrs. Gordon Bennett, Mrs. Charles Linaberry and Mrs. Florence Cramer, all of Easton;and two sisters, Mrs. Elmer Peifer and Mrs. Sarah Moser, both of Easton.

He was a member of the Evangelical church of Williams Township. The funeral will be held from his home at 2:30 o'clock Wendesday afternoon.
