Helen Stecker, 94, taught at March

Helen M. Stecker, 94, of 4900 Hedgewood St., Midland. Mich., a former resident of Easton, died Friday in the Provincial House in Midland.
She was a retired elementary teacher and had taught at the March School on College Hill years ago.

She formerly lived on East Madison Street, Easton. She moved tp Michigan in 1980.
Her husband, Charles F. Stecker, who had served as principal at the Shull Junior High School, Easton, died Jan. 7, 1971.

Born Jan. 27, 1893, in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Thomas S. and Anna Afflerbach Miller. She attended Penn State University and was an avid artist.
Mrs. Stecker was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Easton.

Suvivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Louise McDonald of Midland, Mich., and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles F., Jr.
Services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Tuesday in St. John's Lutheran Church, Easton. Interment will be in Easton Cemetery. Arrangements are being made by the Strunk Funeral Home, Wilson.
