Bruce R. Merrick
Bruce R. Merrick, 55, of Phillipsburg, passed away Thursday,
Sept 12, in Easton Hospital.
Born: Sept 18, 1946, in Easton, a son of Rhoda Stamets Merrick
of Phillipsburg and the Late Charles S. Merrick.
Personal: He had lived in the Phillipsburg area nearly all
of his life.
At one time, he was a printer at the Sheridan Printing Co.
and at Correll's Printing Co. Most recently, he was a ribbon
cutter at McGinley Mills in Phillipsburg.
He was a 1967 graduate of Phillipsburg High School. He was
an avid wrestling and football fan.
Memberships: He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church
in Phillipsburg.
He was a member of Concordia Mannechor, the Citizens Hose
Co., Liberty Hose Co., Easton Quoits League and the Easton
Fleas, all of Easton, the Tatamy Fire Co., in Tatamy, PA.,
and the Italian-American Club in Phillipsburg.
Survivors: His mother; two sisters, Joyce Savacool of Hope
Township and June M. Everett of Palmer Township; and nieces
and nephews.
A sister, Dorothy M., and two brothers, John E. and Charles
S. Jr., all died earlier.
Services: A private service was held, followed by cremation
in the H.G. Smith Crematory in Stroudsburg, Pa. The Rupell
Funeral Home, Phillipsburg, was in charge of arrangements.
