Barry L. McBride, 63, of Wilson, died Thursday, August 05,
2004 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital,
Allentown. Born Oct. 17, 1940 in Easton, he was a son of the
late Lloyd L. and Eleanor Larison McBride. He and his wife,
the former Barbara Miller, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary
on Nov. 30, 2003. Barry graduated in 1958 from Easton High
School. He served in the Air Force as a crew chief on a B52
bomber. He retired from Mack Printing Co. after 40 years. Barry
was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a member of St. Jane Frances
de Chantal Catholic Church. He was a member of American Legion
International, Independent Press and Bindery Workers Union
and a life member of Order of Fleas.
Survivors: His wife; son, Colin P. and his wife, Catherine,
of Stroudsburg; daughters, Barrie Ann George and her husband,
Joseph, of Carlisle, and Christy A. McElroy and her husband,
Eric, of Groton, Conn.; sisters, Joan E. Fernsler of Easton,
Nancy L. Castelletti of Plainfield Twp.; grandchildren, Trent
and Sydney George and Molly and Gideon McElroy.
Services: memorial, 11 a.m. Saturday, Strunk Funeral Home
Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson. Call 10-11 a.m. Saturday.
