Mrs. V. L. Shive, Minister's Wife, PHS Graduate
Mrs.Ddoris Major Shive, 35, of Port Jervis, N.Y. formerly of Phillispburg, died at 4 a.m. today in St. Francis Hospital, Port Jervis.

Mrs. Shive was born in Wahsington, N.J., and resided in Phillipsburg for several years. She was graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1942.

She was graduated from the Dallas Bible Institute (Evening School), Dallas Tex, in 1954.

Mrs. Shive's husband served a pastorate at the Buttzville Methodist Church, Buttsville, N.J. while the Rev. Mr. Shive attended Moravian College, Bethlehem.

The Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Shive spent a year in Indianapolis, Ind. before going to Port Jervis in 1955.

Mrs. Shive was superinendent and taught in the junior department of the Sunday school at the West End Church. She was an organizer of the "Jet Cadets" a children's group of the Sunday school.

Surviving, in addtion to her husband, are her mother, Mrs. Lillian Major, Port Jervis, and three sons, Ray, David and Stephen, all at home.

The fuenral will be conducted at 1:340 p.m. Friday in the West End Church, Interment will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Phillipsburg
