Asher Longenbach, 67, Watch Repariman
Asher W. Longenbach, 67, clock and watch repairman, died shortly before noon yesterday at his home, Shimer’s Hill, Nazareth R.D 1. He was ill since last December.
Mr. Longenbach started watch repairing when he was 20. He was employed by the Lone Star Cement Co. for 19 years. He retired in February 1945.
Born in Butztown on Nov 6. 1894, he was a son of the late Thomas and Ida Laubach Longenbach. He resided in Lower Nazareth Township the last 26 years.
He was a member of Dryland Lutheran Church, Hecktown.
Surviving are his widow, the former Sadie S. Sayler; a son, ****, Nazareth R. D.1; a daughter, ****, wife of *****, Scotia, N.Y.; and three grandchildren. A brother, Robert, died before him.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Schmidt Mortuary, Nazareth. |
