R. T. Lippincott, Ex-Holland Township, School Director
Ralph T. Lippincott, 52, a former member of the Holland Township
Board of Education and foreman in the finishing department
of the Riegel Paper Corp. plant, died of a heart attack at
his home in Riegelsville, N.J., this morning at 7 o'clock.
Mr. Lippincott employed by the Riegel Paper Corp for 47 years,
had worked all last week and had planned to report or work
today when he was stricken. He had not been in good health
and earlier this year resigned from the Holland Board of Education
after 24 years of service.
He was born in Holland, N.J, son of the late Thomas and Frances
Stoneback Lipincott. During World War I he served in the U.
S. Army.
He was a member of Bethlehem Lodge 140, F&AM of Bloomsbury;
Warren County Forest 114, Tall Cedars of Lebanon; Loyal Order
of Mosse, Easton, and the Booster Club of that order; St. John's
Evangelical and Reformed Church, of Riegelsville; Riegelsville
Fire Department, Warren County Rod and Gun Club, and Brown
and Lynch Post 9, American Legion, of Easton. He had resided
in the home where he died for the last 48 years.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Pearson Lippincott;
three sons, Eugene E., of Reigelsville, Gunners Mate 3. C.
Richard R., stationed on the U.S.S. Bassett, and Pfc Robert
L., with the U.S. Army in Japan, and a daughter, Miss Betty
Lippincott, at home
