Sgt. Merritt Laubach Killed in France
Sgt. Merritt R. Laubach, husband of Mrs. Merritt R. Laubach,
of Macada, was killed in action Aug. 11 in France, according
to a War Department telegram received by his wife.
Sgt. Laubach entered service in April 1941 and went overseas
in October 1943. He landed in England and was sent to France
with American troops on July 26 this year.
He has one brother in the armed services, Roy L. Laubach with
the Navy in England. He is also survived by the following;
a brother, Walter Laubach, of Bethlehem R.D.1, and five sisters,
among them Mrs. Edgar Roth of Nazareth and Mrs. Paul Newhart,
of Easton. |
