John Krantz, 48, Lafayette, Grad, Engineer
John E. "Jack" Krantz, 48, of 2030 Maywood St., Palmer Township, died last night in Easton Hosptial after a long illness.

He was an electrical engineer at Western Electric Co., Allentown for 20 years, last serving in the capacity of senior engineer.

He formerly was employed by Navel Air Developement center, Johnsville, Pa., for several years.

Born in Easton, on April 27, 1931, he was a son of Helen Brown Krantz, Palmer Township, and the late Walter A. Krantz.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Easton.

A 1948 graduate of Easton High School, Mr. Krantz received a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Lafayette College in 1952 and a master's degree in el3ectrical engineering from Lehigh Univesity in 1968. He was a member of the Professional Engineering Society and Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Surviving in additition to his mother are his wife, the former Marie Langer; two sons, a daughter, and a brother, Dr. W. Joseph Krantz, Willow Grove, Pa., medical doctor.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton. Interment will be in Easton Hieghts Cemetery.
