Dr. Walter E. Kiefer, Former Eastonian, Dies in Virginia
Dr. Walter Elwood Kiefer, 63, of 20 Stevenson Street, Lynbrook, N.Y. died this morning at Falls Church, Va., while en route to Florida for a vacation with his wife, Mrs. C. Leota Kiefer.

Born in Rockport, the son of the late Luther and Amanda Fritz Kiefer, of Easton, he was graduated from Parks Academy, of Easton, and Lafayette college. He also was graduated from a Philadelphia medical college and interned in Methodist Hospital, Philadelphia. He was employed as a company physician by the Pennsylvania Railroad Co., until his retirement several years ago due to ill heath.

Dr. Kiefer was a member of the Vanderveer I.OO.F, 1104 of Easton, the Masonic Order, in New York State and formerly was a member of St. Peter's Reformed Church, South Side.

Survivors in addition to his wife, are two sisters, Mrs. Lucy S. Marshall, and Mrs. Elsie Serfass, both of Easton and a brother, Raymond J. Kiefer of Raubsville.
