George H. Kiefer Sr., 67, of Allentown, died Friday, July 13, at home. He was the husband of Ruth D. (Shannon) Kiefer. They were married for 44 years last September.
He was a laborer for James River Paper Corp., New Jersey, for 23 years before retiring in 1991. Previously, he was a truck driver for R.S. Wood Co. for five years.
Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Charles J. and Estella (Frey) Kiefer.
He was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3094, Hellertown.
Survivors: Wife; sons, ***** of Allentown, ***** of Easton, ***** of Bethlehem; daughter, ****of Steel City; brothers, Charles J. of Freemansburg, William of Emmaus; sisters, ***** of Nazareth, ***** of Bethlehem, ***** of Hellertown; seven grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. Call 9-10 a.m. Monday.
