Ezra S. Houck
Ezra S. Houck died at 5 o’clock on Sunday morning at
his home, no. 517 Burke Street, College Hill, of paralysis.
He had been ill for several weeks. Deceased would have been
52 years of age in October. He is survived by his wife and
the following children; Mrs. Henry D. Schafer, Jr., of South
Side; Norman, Clad, Harold, Orville and Arietta, all at home;
also by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Houck, of College
Hill, and by a brother, Asa Houck, of Parlin, N. J. For three
years prior to his death he had been employed as a blacksmith
at the Lehigh Valley shops, and previous to that he had been
in business on College Hill. He was a member of the Loyal
Order of Buffalo and Excelsior Council, Junior Mechanics
of Easton, and the Red Men of Phillipsburg. He attended St.
Peter’s Lutheran Church, College Hill.
