Irene C. Messinger, 76, of Grant Street, Easton, died Friday in Villa Northwest Restorative Care Center, Houston, Texas. She was the wife of Carl R. Messinger. They were married 54 years in September.

She was last employed in the cafeteria of the former Easton and Shull Junior High Schools. Years ago, she worked for the former Transogram Toy Co., Easton.

Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late John and Hazel (Conine) Hoag.

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Easton.

Survivors: Husband; son, brother, sister, and three grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Strunk Funeral Home, 602 W. Berwick St., Easton. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
