Floyd Miller Hess II
Floyd Miller Hess II, M.D. 85 a dedicated general practitioner, devoted husband and father, went to be with our Lord on Thursday, June 17, 2004.

Personal: He had spent the past six years in San Antonio Texas, with his wife, ****; a son ****** daughter in law, ***** and tow of his grandchildren.

Dr. Hess graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1927, Lafayette College, Magna Cum Laude, class of 1941 and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, class of 1944. At Lafayette, he was also a member of Phi Beta Kappa honorary scholastic fraternity and was a member of Phi Rho sigma Fraternity and Dever Surgical Society at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

He served his internship and residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem.

Dr. Hess practiced medicine for over 40 years in Bangor, Pen Argyl, Roseto, Mt. Bethel and Wind Gap.

He served as a Captain in the Army Medical Corps at the 62nd Field Hospital in Rhienan, Germany from 1946 to 1948.

Survivors: His wife, the former *****; two sons, **** and his wife, the former *****, of San Antonio, Texas and ****** and his wife, the former *****, of Bangor, a daughter, ***** and her husband, *****, of Hendersonville, Tenn.; a sister, ***** and her husband, ******, of Jupiter, Fla.; grandchildren, *****, *****, S*****, *****, *****and *****.
A son Philip Russell Hess, died earlier.

Services: A memorial Service was held Sunday, June 20, 2004 I the Porter Loring North Chapel. Interment, with Military Honors was held Monday, June 21, 2004 in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio Texas.. Arrangements are by Porter Loring Mortuary North, San Antonio, Texas.
