Clayton A. Herman, 81, of Coopersburg, died Wednesday in Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Township.

He worked in the maintenance department for the borough of Coopersburg for many years, retiring in 1980.

Born in Freemansburg, he was a son of the late Asher and Estella (Larish) Herman.

He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Lower Saucon Township.

Survivors: Sisters, Mrs. Joyce Talaber with whom he resided and Mrs. Pluma Werkheiser of Hellertown.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday in the church. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Friday and 9:30-10:15 a.m. Saturday, Norcross-Weber Funeral Home, 101 N. Main St., Coopersburg.
