William P. Hartzell World War I Veteran
William P. Hartzell, 63, veteran of World War I. who formerly conducted a grocery business in South Side, died yesterday afternoon at his home, 439 Line street, South Side. He had long been in failing health.

Until a year and a hlf ago, when he sold the buiness, Mr. Hartzell operated a grocery store at Line Street and Philadelphia road for 12 years. Before becoming a grocer, he conducted a milk distributing business in South Side. Mr. Hartzell was in the Army during the World War I.

He was born in Williams Township, a son of the late Charles W. and Alice Moser Hartzell, and attended the township schools. He was a member of Rice-Ebner Post, American Legion, the County 40 et 8; St. John's Evangelical Reformed Church, Williams Township, South Easton. Council 590, Fraternal Patriotic Americans and the Easton Eagles.

Survivnig are his wife, the former Anna Werkheiser, and a brother, Irwin Hartzell, of Brodheadsville.
