Florence M. Black, 70, of Gracedale, Upper Nazareth Township,
formerly of Williams Township, died Jan. 26 in Easton Hospital.
She was married to Harold W. Black for 50 years.
She worked for R.S. Hahn, Palmer Township, and previously
for the former Tom Young's Drugstore, Easton, and the former
Chipman Knitting Mills, West Easton.
Born in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and
Elsie (Transue) Haring.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Williams
Township, and a former Sunday school teacher there.
She was a life member of the Wilson PTA and a member of the
auxiliaries of Williams Township Emergency Squad and Williams
Township Fire Company No. 1. She was a member of the William
Parsons Chapter 185, Order of the Eastern Star, and a former
mother advisor for the Rainbow Girls.
Survivors: Husband; daughters, **** of Wilson,
***** of Williams Township; brother, ***** of Palmer;
sisters, ***** of Milford, N.J., Sarah Lewis of Vineland,
N.J.; two granddaughters.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Strunk Funeral Home, 2101 Northampton
St., Wilson. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday.
