Forrest W. A. Hahn
Forrest W. A. (Fudge) Hahn died unexpectedly yesterday in
Mercy Hosptial, Scranton, where he was aditted Sunday. He
and his wife, the former, Charlotte Theobald, operated a
motel in Olyphant for the past eight years.
Born June 18, 1911, in Easton, he was a son of Mrs. Esther
Biblhgaus Hahn of Easton and alexandria, Va., and the late
Russell Hahn.
Mr. Han lived most of his life in the Easton-Phillipsburg
area, and worked at the Bethlehem Steel Corp. and later as
a civilian with the Army Ordnance Department at Eynon, Lackawanna
Co, before moving to Olyphant.
He attended St. John's Lutheran Church, Honesdale. A 32
degree mason, he was a meber of Delaware Lodge 52, F8&AM,
Phillipsburg, and the Scranton Consitory. He was also a member
of Keyston Lodge of Perfection, Scranton; the Scranton Chaber
of Commerce, and the Pennsylvania Motel Assoication. He served
as a special deputy sheriff in Lackawanna County.
Survivors include two sons, three daughters, two stepsons,
a
stepdaughter, two brothes,
Marshall Hahn, Palmer Township, and Frank Hahn, Raleigh,
N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Jack Cram, Alexandria, Va.; nine grandchildren
nd five stepgrandchildren. A brother, Russell J. Hahn,
died last June.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Strunk
Funeral Home, Easton. Delaware Lodge will conduct masonic
servies at 8 p.m. tomorrow in the funeral home
