Samuel D. Gruver
Samuel D. Gruver, a well-known retired farmer, died at 5:20 o’clock Sunday afternoon, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Albert Miller, No. 417 South Main Street, Bangor, with whom he resided. He had been ill with a complication of ailments since Christmas. He was 78 years of age. He had formerly resided in the vicinity of Centreville. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Albert Miller; a grandson, Clark Miller, a student at Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, and by four sisters, Mrs. Mary Schock, of Lapear, Mich., Mrs. George Hartzell of Schoenersville; Mrs. Leah Frey, of Bethlehem and Mrs. Anna Ribble, of Martin’s Creek. He was a member of the Reformed Church at Centreville. The funeral will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Miller home, with interment in the Stone Church cemetery.
