Reuben J. Gruver dead
Senior Member of Mt. Bethel Firm Passes Away.

Reuben J. Gruver, of Mt. Bethel, senior member of the firm of Gruver & Rasley, proprietors of a general store, died at 4 o’clock this morning of a complication of ailments, aged 75 years. Deceased is survived by a son, George B. Gruver, of Mt. Bethel; a brother, Rev. C. B. Gruver, of Albany, N.Y., and two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Hester, of Portland and Mrs. Henry Mann, of Richmond. Mr. Gruver was a son of the long deceased Mr. and Mrs. William J. Gruver. He was in business at Mt. bethel for many years.

Mr. Gruver was president of the Portland national Bank, a director in the First National Bank, Bangor and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Stone Church.
