Mrs. Elizabeth R. Washeim, 82, died Saturday at Gracedale, where she had been a guest for the last two years. She had been in failing health for a number of years.
Mrs. Washeim formerly lived at 420 Main St., Freemansburg, with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. George Washeim. He husband, Jacob, died 40 years ago.
Born in Williams Township May 29, 1875, she was a daughter of the late George and Emma Kiefer Grube. She was of the Lutheran faith.
In addition to her son, Mrs. Washeim is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George Claus, Easton; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Transue, Easton; six brothers, Jacob Grube, Wernersville, Pa.; Harvey Grube, Freemansburg; Arthur Grube, Utica, N.Y.; Joseph Grube, Bethlehem, and Wallace and Dewey Grube, both of Easton; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton. |
