Frederick Glessner, an old resident of Snufftown, near the Lehigh Bridge, died yesterday afternoon, aged seventy-six years, four months and fourteen days. The cause of death was dropsy with which he had been suffering for the past year. The deceased was born in Fourth Street, Easton, April 10, 1815, but resided in Snufftown the last sixty years. For many years he followed boating, and when he relinquished that business he worked for Hilliard & Sigman along time unloading boats. His wife has been in Germany the last seven years. Three sons, live in Philadelphia. He and his brother Henry had been living together. The funeral will take place on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Services will be held at the hours by Rev. Dr. Kieffer.
