Earl J. Geiger, Ex-Member of Easton Fire Department
Earl J. Geiger Sr., 72, of 225 Morvale Road., Williams Township, died
yesterday in Easton Hospital where he had been admitted earlier this
month.
Mr. Geiger was employed as a city fireman with the Easton Fire Department
until his retirement on Feb 1, 1952.
He also worked as a deliveryman for the Easton Express and was last
employed with the maintenance department of Lafayette College.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Gottieb Geiger.
He was of the Lutheran faith and a member of Dallas Lodge No. 396
F &AM, Easton.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Edna S. Beegle Geiger; three sons,
Earl J. of Easton, Robert C. of Palmer Township and Carl A. of Phillipsburg;
two daughters, and four sisters, Mrs. Leo H. Cericola, Mrs. Mary
Wohlbach and Mrs. Anna Rappa, all of Easton, and Mrs. Elzabeth Heil,
of Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Strunk Funeral
home, Easton. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine |
