Dr. Frank A. Garis Dies At Age of 70
Native of Easton Practiced in Quaker City 45 Years
Dr. Frank A. Gairs, 70 years old, a practicing physician in Philadelphia for the past 45 years, died yesterday at this home, 4606 Wayne Avenue, Germantown, following a heart attack.

He was born in Easton and was a son of the late Samuel and Susan Eichman Garis. He was graduated from Central High School, Philadelphia, and Hahnemann Medical College and practiced in Bethlehem before locating in Philadelphia. Since 1930 he was a member of the staff of the Women's Homeopathic Hospital, Philadelphia.

Dr. Garis is survived by his widow, Mrs. Esther Shimer Garis and by one daughter, Dorothy, Wife of George H. Hughes, of Washington D.C, and a sister, Mrs. George Bauer, of Philadelphia. The late William E. and Cornelius W. Garis of this city were brothers of deceased. Dr. Garis was a member of Perkins Lodge. No. 402, F. and A. M. of Philadelphia.

The funeral will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the parlors of J. F. Griess, Eighth and Hunting Park Avenue, Philadelphia. Interment will be made at 2:30 p.m. in the family plot in the Freemansburg Cemetery.
