Harry R. Gangwer, 86, of Easton, died Friday, Jan. 19, in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Annabelle J. (Meekes) Gangwer. They were married 63 years last February.

He was an engineering supervisor for Ingersoll-Rand Company, Phillipsburg, for 47 years before retiring in 1979.

Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Raymond J. and Leah (Ackerman) Gangwer.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Easton.

He was a 50 year member of Dallas Lodge 396, F & AM, a life member of the Order of Fleas and Citizens Hose Company, all of Easton. He was a member of Easton Forest 35, Tall Cedars of Lebanon and a former member of the Harkers Hollow Golf Club, Harmony Township, N.J.

Survivors: Wife; daughter, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Strunk Funeral Home, 602 W. Berwick St., Easton. Call 10-10:45 a.m. Monday.
