Edward A. Frey
Edward A. Frey died at his home No. 1100 Jefferson street, at 11 o’clock Monday night, aged fifty-six years, of locomotor ataxia. Deceased had been in ill health for a long time but was not confined in his home for any long periods. He had read the evening paper and smoked a cigar, retiring early when he was attacked with hemorrhages from which he died.
Mr. Frey was a a native of Easton and a son of the late martin Frey, a tip-staff in the Northampton county court for a number of years, and Lizzie Frey. Besides his widow the following children survive; William, Anna, Kate, Richard, M
artin, Florence and Herbert Frey, all of Easton. These brothers and sisters, also survive Charles Frey of Easton, (South side) Mrs. Anna Sandt, of Philadelphia, Mrs. Osman Reinhardt, of Bethlehem, Mrs. William Frederick, of Bethlehem; Mrs. Jeremiah George, of Huddlesville, this county, and harry C. Frey, of Rochester, N.Y.
Deceased was a member of Company E. Forty-seventh Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry, and also a member of the Bricklayer’s union.
His funeral will be held from his late home at 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon, Interment in Easton Heights cemetery.
