L. J. Frankenfield, Railway Express Clerk
Lawrence J. Frankenfield, 56, a clerk in the Easton office
of the Railway Express Co., died Saturday at 10:15 p.m. in
Easton Hospital. He was stricken shortly before at his home,
719 Spring Garden St.
Northampton County Coroner George T. Kametz attributed death
to a coronary occlusion.
Born in Riegelsville on July 6, 1899. Mr. Frankenfield was
a son of the late Robert and Catherine Ehly Frankenfield. He
had been employed by Railway Express for about 40 years. He
resided in Riegelsville before moving to Easton 35 years ago.
He was a member of Concordia Maennerchor, the Weston Club,
Aerie 111, Fraternal Order of Easgles, Loyal Order of Moose
45, and Columbia Hose Co, all of Easton; Forks Volunteer Fire
Co. and Easton Chapter, Brotherhood of Railway Clerks.
Surviving are his widow, the former Maude Price; a son, Richard,
of Easton; a daughter, Mrs. Claude Brownell, of Easton; a brother,
Elvin, of Phillipsburg; six sisters, Mrs. Arthur Koons, Miss
Elizabeth Frankenfield and Mrs. William Harlan, all of Easton;
Miss Beatrice Frankenfield, of Phillispburg; Mrs. Edward Hammerstone,
of Riegelsville, N.J. and Mrs. Percy Juimper, of Camden, N.J,
and two grandchidlren.
Services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Adams
Funeral Home, Easton. |
