He Owned Large Tracts of Valuable Land; East Estimated to be Worth $350,000
Andrew J. Edelman, one of the wealthiest farmers and largest owners of farm land in Northampton county died at 11:15 o'clock this morning at his home on the William Penn Highway, just west of the Taylor Wharton works, Palmer Township. About a month ago, Mr. Edelman suffered a stroke of paralysis and his health gradually declined from that time. He was 70 years old last November, and is survived by his wife, who was Miss Ann R. Johnson.

Mr. Edel man, was a son of the late John Edelman, and years ago came into possession, through the will of his uncle, Joseph Edelman, of a large tract of land running from Edelman's wood to the Glendon road and from the Fountain House south a considerable distance toward the Lehigh river. A year or so ago he permitted the people of Wilson to use Edelman's woods as a recreation place, but the municipality was not give title to the tract.

He also owned farms in other parts of Palmer and in Forks township. About two weeks ago he sold to John Rau a farm of 80 acres on the William Penn Highway just east of the property of the Northampton County Club. Part of the vast estate H. S. Snyder, of the Bethlehem Steel Company, has acquired in the vicinity, of the Pond was purchased from Mr. Edelman. He also owned the Fountain House. The site of the Dixie Drinking Cup Company's plant was bought from Mr. Edelman.

Mr. Edelman had no children and leaves no brothers or sisters. His estate is estimated to be worth upwards of $350.000.
