After years of suffering, which were endured with a resignation and patience
truly remarkable, Mrs. Henrietta J. Barron, relict of the late Samuel
Barron, departed this life at half after nine o'clock last evening, in
the eighty-third year of her age. She was born in Easton August 22, 1801,
and has always lived here, her maiden name being Henrietta Weygandt.(sic)
She married Samuel Barron forty-five years ago, but their union was not
blessed with children. Mr. Barron, who died sixteen years ago, had been
twice married, and has some of his children with his now deceased second
wife have lived in the family home, on south Fourth Street, ever since.
Mrs. Barron joined St. John's Lutheran church sixty-five years go
and has always been a conistent and earnest member. Her life was such
as only a Christian can live, and it now stands out a noble monument
to her memory. She was very retiring in despositon, full of good deeds
and beloved by all who knew her. The funeral will take place Monday
at 2 p.m.
