Palmer Man Suffers Fatal Heart Attack After Crash Kills Son and Grandson
Wilson Campbell of Palmer Township was stricken with a fatal heart attack yesterday, six hours after his son and grandson were killed in a traffic accident. He was 69.

Mr Campbell died in Easton Hospital at 2:10 p.m. He was taken there after being stricken at his home, 504 greenwood Ave. He suffered the attack at 11:45 a.m.

Mr. Campbell’s son, Sterling C. Campbell, 46, and his grandson, Clifford W. Campbell 18, were killed early yesterday when their car and tractor trailer collide on the Bushkill Park-Tatamy Road.

Father, son and grandson lived together.

The eldest Mr. Campbell was stricken while talking with members of his family. With him were his sister, Miss Bessie Campbell, of Easton; a nice, Mrs. Daniel Cavanaugh, of Wilson, and the rev. Peter S. Wendell, pastor of South Presbyterian Church, Easton. he had no history of a heart condition.

He was taken to the hospital by the Suburban Rescue Squad of Palmer Township.

Mr. Campbell was employed by the Onondaga Silk Co. Inc. and its predecessor, the Simon Silk Co, for 50 years. He retied four years ago.

Born on Oct. 4, 1891, in Bethlehem Township he was a son of the late Thomas and Lillian Rothrock Campbell.

He was a member of the Lutheran faith. He was a member of the Palmer Township Fire Co.

Surviving in addition to his sisters Bessie, are five other sisters, Mrs. Ella Kincaid, Butztown; Mrs. Maud Wilson and Miss Alice Campbell, both of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Elmira Banko and Mrs. Emma Garis, both of Easton; two brothers, Thomas and harry, both of Easton, and a granddaughter, Mrs. Susan Trauger, Easton.

His son, Sterling, was co-owner of the Plaza Roller Rink at Harmony.

Among the survivors of Clifford W. Campbell is his maternal grandfather, Allen F. LaRose Sr. Easton.

A triple funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Shillinger funeral Home, Easton.

Triple Funeral Held for Father, Son, Grandson
A triple funeral for Wilson Campbell, 69, his son, Sterling C. Campbell, 46, and his grandson, Clifford W. Campbell, 18, was held this afternoon at the Shillinger Funeral Home, Easton.

Sterling C. and Clifford W. was killed early Thursday when their car and a tractor-trailer collide on the Bushkill Park, Tatamy Road. Wilson Campbell was stricken with a fatal heart attack six hours after his son and grandson were killed. Father, son and grandson lived together at 403 Greenwood Ave., Palmer Township.

Rev George A Crietz, pastor of First United Church of Christ, tand Rev. Peter S. Wendell, pastor of South Presbyterian church, Easton, officiated. Interment was in Farmersville Cemetery.

Pallbearers for Wilson Campbell were Thomas G. Campbell, Amos Banko, Raymond Troxell, Harry Campbell, George Kichline and Harrison Kincaid.

Pallbearers for Sterling Campbell were Walter Hass, Allen LaRose, Paul Moser, Robert Cavanaugh, Thomas Troxell and Harold Hass.

Pallbearers for Clifford Campbell were David Holland, Joseph Archard, David Sales, Thomas Casey, Albert Holland and William Baker.
