Andrew J. Brown, Sr.
Andrew J. Brown Sr., 71, of 131 S. 4th St., Easton, died Saturday,
in Easton Hospital where he was admitted Jan. 20.
He was an instrument repariman in the combustion department of Bethlehem
Steel Corp., retiring in 1970 after 30 years of service.
He and his wife, the former Evelyn E. Troxell, celebrated their 48th
wedding anniversary June 24. The resided at 147 W. Kleinhans St., Easton,
for many years.
Born in Easton on Jan. 18, 1907, he was a son of the late Oliver and
mary Ann Warden Brown.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Easton, and the Easton
Fish and Game Association.
Survivng in Addition to his wife are two sons, three daughters, a
sister, Mrs. William Wustengan, Maryland; two brothers, Donald W. of
Wilson, and Floyd F., of Kunkletown; 11 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Strunk Funeral
Home. Easton. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
