H. L. Brodhead, Former Palmer Resident, 35
Harold Laubach Brodhead, 35, formerly of Palmer Township, died unexpectedly yesterday at his home, 2541 Southdene Ave., Baltimore, Md. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Mr. Brodhead was a district manager for the Baltimore News-Post and Sunday American newspapers.
He had returned to his home on Thursday after being in Easton to attend the funeral of his mother, Mrs. Erma Laubach Brodhead. Mrs. Brodhead was killed last Sunday when she was pinned against a pillar by her automobile in the garage at her home in Palmer Township.
Mr. Brodhead was born in Easton on July 14, 1924. His father was the late Harry Brodhead. He had resided in the Baltimore area for the last five years.
Before moving to Baltimore area, he resided in Palmer Township and worked for his father in the trucking business.
He was a member of Palmer Township Moravian Church.
Surviving are his widow, the former Verna Trapp; a daughter, Shirley M., and two sons, Harry R. and Nelson P., all at home. A sister, Miss Evelyn Brodhead, Palmer Township, and four brothers, Charles W., Richard D., and Stanley E., all of Palmer Townships, and Edward R. of Bethlehem Township, and his maternal Grandmothers, Mrs. Cora Laubach, Palmer Township. A daughter Joyce, died about 12 years ago when she was 3 ½.
The funeral will beheld at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bender Funeral Home, Easton. |
