John K. Benn, 53, of Bangor R.3, died Wednesday in Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, N.J. He was the husband of Kathryn Jane (Murphy) Benn.

He was employed by Ingersoll-Rand Co., Phillipsburg, for 29 years before retiring in 1984, and also was a farmer for many years.

Benn was a son of the late William and Daisy (Kiefer) Benn.

He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bangor.

Surviving with his widow are four daughters, ****of Bangor, ***** of Nazareth, and ***** and ****, both at home; seven sisters, Mrs. Ruth Kneebone and Mrs. Shirley Bajan, both of Nazareth, Mrs. Margaret Zeigenfuss of Saylorsburg, Mrs. Edith Clause of Easton, Mrs. Dorothy Werkheiser of Bethlehem, and Mrs. Carol Bronisoski and Mrs. Betty Beers, both of Bangor, and a brother, Louis James of Bangor.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the church. There will be no calling hours. The Hough Home for Funerals, 207 Market St., Bangor, is in charge of arrangements.
