Frank G. Aller Sr., former fire chief, council member

Frank Grim Aller Sr., 69, of Milford, N.J., died Saturday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Center.

He was a retired mechanic having been reemployed by the Riegel Division of the James River Corp. o Milford. He retired in 1983. he was currently a part-time employee of Peter Dennis in Philipsburg.

Born Aug. 15, 1921, in Milford, he was a son of the late William and Laura Flennard Aller.

He was an Air Force veteran of World War II.

He was a life member , former chief and current secretary of the Milford Volunteer Fire Co.; he was secretary of the Milford Fire Co. Relief Association; he was a former captain of the Milford Rescue Squad; he was a former Milford Borough Council member; he was a member and former president of the Hunterdon county Fire Chief’s Association; he was a member of both the New Jersey Volunteer Fire chief’s Association and the New Jersey State Fire Chief’s Association.

He is survived by his wife, the former Hazel Strouse; two sons; **** of Lanoka Harbor, N.J., and *****. of Holland township, N.J.; a brother, ****. of Basking Ridge, NJ.; and four grandchildren.

Memorial Services will beheld at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the W. E. Johnson Funeral Home in Holland township. Cremation was held privately at the convenience of the family.
