Frances A. Fontanella, 73, of Mount Bethel, died Wednesday,
Oct. 24, in Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. She was
the wife of Valentine Fontanella. They were married for 53
years in April.
She worked for Pysher's Market, Mount Bethel, before retiring
in 1988. Previously, she was a cafeteria worker for many years
for Bangor School District. She also worked for various auctioneers
in the area.
Born in Martins Creek, she was a daughter of the late James
and Lillian (Hyde) Allen.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Johnsonville,
where she was assistant organist.
She was a member and past treasurer of the Mount Bethel Volunteer
Fire Company auxiliary and a member of the Richmond Bell Choir.
Survivors: Husband; sons, daughters, brother, nine grandchildren,
three great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday in the church. Call 10-11 a.m. Friday
in the church. Arrangements, James J. Palmeri Funeral Home,
Martins Creek.
