Mrs. S. Alverta Lockard
Mrs. S. Alverta Lockard, 74, widow of Dr. Elmer C. Lockard, died last night at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hartzell, 234 Water Street, Belvidere. She was born in Bangor, Pa., daughter of the late Philip and Louisa Buzzard Albert and resided in Belvidere the lat 49 years.
Mrs. Lockard was a member of the Methodist church, Belvidere, and for many yers was very active in church affairs and was a teacher of the Friendly Bible Class.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John Correll, of Bangor and Mrs. Harry Hartzell, with whom she resided; a son, Elmer C. Lockard of Belvidere; two brothers, Alvin Albert , of Stroudsburg R. D. and George Albert of Bangor; a sister, Mrs. John S. Dean, of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. |
