ARLINGTON A. ALBERT

Arlington A. Albert, 85, of 2427 Norwood Ave., Palmer Township,
formerly of 2443 Freemansburg Ave., Wilson, died Wednesday
in Wilmington Division of Delaware Medical Center. He was the
husband of Pearl E. (Seip) Albert.
He worked for the Easton Post Office for 40 years before retiring
in 1964 as superintendent of postal finances.
In 1931, Albert survived a bomb explosion at the post office
that took the lives of two of his co-workers.
Born in Stockertown, he was a son of the late Stuart E. Albert
and Cora (Keifer) Albert Mengle.
He was a member of Forks United Church of Christ, Forks Township,
where he was a former deacon and elder.
Survivors: Wife; sons, sister, Helen Smith of Tatamy, nine
grandchildren and six great- grandchildren.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Ashton Funeral Home, 14th and
Northampton streets, Easton. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Friday. |
